Sharp Notes

A recreation of Les Sept Saisons du Ciel (The Seven Seasons of Heaven), the apocryphal, lost final masterpiece of Chevalier de Saint-Georges, a Black composer, violinist, and fencer in 18th Century France. While suffering from the fever that would eventually claim him, Saint-Georges allegedly had a vision that tasked him with creating a final work about his seven greatest duels. The maestro chose one match, his exhibition with Chevalier d'Eon, and composed a piece in seven moments describing the back and forth of this particular competition. While lost to time, I attempted to recreate it here.
